Ytasha Womack is the author of the books Afrofuturism: The World of Black Sci Fi & Fantasy Culture and Rayla 2212. She is director of the upcoming sci fi film Bar Star City. She teaches Afrofuturism dance therapy. She encourages the use of the imagination to transform one’s circumstances. She’s an independent scholar who shares the joys of Afrofuturism.
