Susan Eriksson

Dr. Susan Eriksson has worked in industry, academia, and the non­profit sectors as a research geologist, university professor, and director of museums and public education programs. The subject matter of Eriksson’s own earth­-based sculptures derives heavily from her career in geological research and education which has led her to work and study in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Australia and southeast Asia.

Currently, one of her passions is building a community of artists, geoscientists, and other researchers to build a research agenda to understand how art and geoscience can enhance both disciplines.
