Bio
Derek Royal is a clinical associate professor in the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is also the producer and cohost of The Comics Alternative podcast. His books include Visualizing Jewish Narrative: Jewish Comics and Graphic Novels, Unfinalized Moments: Essays in the Development of Contemporary Jewish American Narrative, andPhilip Roth: New Perspectives of an American Author. His scholarship on comics, literature, and film have appeared in a variety of peer-reviewed journals and edited collections.
