Michael Punt

Michael Punt est professeur d'art et de la technologie à l'Université de Plymouth. Il est également rédacteur en chef de Leonardo Critiques qui publie plus de 200 commentaires par an sur l'art, la science et la technologie. Entre 1969 and1994 il avait plus d'une centaine d'expositions de son travail, y compris des expositions personnelles et a fait 15 films. He has published over 80 articles on cinema history and digital technology in key journals including; The Velvet Light Trap, Leonardo, Design Issues, Technoetic Arts and Convergence. Between 1996 and 2000 he was a regular contributor to Skrien, the Dutch journal of record for film and television criticism. During that period he wrote a monthly column on cinema, art and the Internet. In the past five years he has given papers and keynotes in more than a dozen countries and is currently working on a two volume book project on technology and imagination during the ‘long twentieth century’.

Il dirige actuellement un grand projet de recherche conjoint avec le VU, Amsterdam, l'Université des arts appliqués, Vienne, aux Pays-Bas Filmmuseum et l'Institut néerlandais pour Sound and Vision.
