Bio

Katt Lissard, a writer, director and performer, has taught theatre and playwriting at SUNY, Long Island University, Smith College and the National University of Lesotho (southern Africa) where she spent two years (2005; 2012) as a Fulbright professor in the Theatre Unit. Since 2006 she’s been artistic director of The Winter/Summer Institute, un internacional del VIH / SIDA & Theatre for Social Change project based in New York and Lesotho (wsimaketheatre.org). She currently teaches in the Graduate Institute at Goddard College. Her most recent work in Africa, Memoria de un paisaje ahogamiento, is an experiment in performance, resistance and environmental justice.
